The event was attended by heads of leading domestic factories. Among the key topics, the current state of the agricultural, food, trailers and road-building engineering in Russia, the implementation of measures of state support, export development, manufacturers appeal to the government with proposals for support industries.
So, in the 1st quarter of 2020, only the Russian factories of agricultural machinery was able to increase production. The growth was 30% from 27 to 35 billion rubles releasing road construction equipment declined during the reporting period by 11.3% from 9.2 to 8.1 billion rubles, trailers – 14.1% from 9.9 to 8.5 billion rubles.
Pandemic coronavirus has severely affected the shipment of specialized equipment abroad. Exports of agricultural equipment decreased by 1.5%, trailers and semi-trailers – 45%, construction machinery – 50% of food processing machinery – 37%.
The reduction in the production of specialized equipment in Russia is associated with a decrease in effective demand, with the shortage of working capital. Consumers also postpone decision on purchase of production plants in anticipation of approval of preferential state support programmes. Additional negative factors were the suspension of activities of a number of companies in connection with the presidential Decrees No. 206 and No. 239, the fall in oil prices and the weakening of the ruble, which led to higher prices for metal and components.
Association "Rosspetsmash" in early April, has sent to the government of Russia the letter with the proposals of anti-crisis measures to support producers of specialized equipment. Mechanical engineers think that the rapid run previously existing mechanisms of state support to mitigate the impact of the crisis on the industry.
