In June, Cuba for the first time in the last five years has purchased a soybean oil originating from the United States. The reason for the resumption of the procurement was to reduce the supply from the South American countries, traditional suppliers of soybean oil to Cuba.

Purchased totaled 7.6 tons, which overall was one of the largest trade deals between the U.S. and Cuba since 2010.

In the future, market operators see the restoration of trade relations between the two countries, as the delivery price of soybean oil from the USA cheaper prices on the goods the South American suggestions.
