On indicators of quality and safety were studied: barley, wheat, peas, canola, soybeans, sunflowers, rye, oats. For September and the first half of October 2016 in the Test laboratory of the branch received and investigated more than 520 samples of grain held 4197 research identified 10 996 tons of non-standard products. Applicants interested as qualitative indicators according to GOST standards and safety performance in accordance with the requirements of Technical regulations of the Customs Union TR CU 015/2011 "On grain safety".

As 19.10.2016 in the region threshed 2.16 million hectares or 99.8% of the total harvesting area of grain crops, gross harvest of grain crops amounted to more than 3.46 million tons of grain (wheat, barley, oats, rye, peas, millet, buckwheat), which is 61.6 thousand tons more than in the same period last year, the average yield of 16.0 t/ha. Oilseed crops threshed on the area 94,95 thousand ha or 64.2%, the gross harvest of oilseeds (sunflower, soybean, canola, flax, camelina and other oilseeds) made – 109,78 thousand tons (51,16 thousand tons more than in 2015).
