In the period from 24.10.2016 for 28.10.2016 experts of test laboratory of the Omsk branch of the fgbi "Center for grain quality assessment" when conducting works on the monitoring information on commodity and consumer properties of grain were identified two batches of soft wheat with a total weight of 500 tons, does not meet the requirements of GOST R 52554-2006 "Wheat. Technical conditions".
By results of the conducted tests it was found that the soft wheat harvest in 2016, selected in the farms of the Omsk region, does not correspond to GOST requirements on the content of smut among the impurities and smell.
According to the requirements of GOST, the maximum allowed content of smut – not more than 0.05%, according to test results, the figure amounted to 0.64% and 0.80%. It is also established that the wheat is not peculiar to healthy grain smell smut.
The specialists of the branch explained that smut is a common disease of many plants caused by fungi golovnevykh. The greatest harm brings cereal crops, causing huge damage to agriculture.
