In particular, the supply of soy oil by the end of the season may be reduced to 3.6 (4,41) million tonnes, canola – up to 0,3 (0,35) million tons. At the same time, the import of sunflower and palm oil will increase to 1.85 (1.53 m) and 9 (8,77) million tons respectively.

The reduction in the supply of vegetable oils in India will be due to the growth of their domestic production at 1.22 million tonnes in the year to 5.83 million tons.

It is also noted that consumption of vegetable oils in India continues to grow, however, in 2016/17 MG this growth will slow down and will reach, under forecasts of experts of 0.7-0.8 million tons compared to 1.2-1.3 million tonnes in the previous two seasons.
