The reasons for this trend will slow growth of consumption of oil in the country, which this season will amount to 0.7 million tons compared to 1.2-1.3 million tonnes in the previous two MG as well as the active implementation of the product inventory, which by the end of March decreased by almost 1 million tons per year.

In addition, in 2017 India hopes for high yield of oilseed crops, mainly soybean, peanut and canola, which will allow to increase domestic production of vegetable oils by 1.28 million tons per year to 5.89 million tons.
