It is noted that in 2017/18 MG farmers are going to expand the acreage under the oilseed 2.5 percent to 34.7 million hectares as against 33.9 million hectares in the previous season. It is specified that, according to preliminary forecasts of analysts, the production of soybeans in 2017/18 MG is estimated at 109 million tonnes, below the crop of the season 2016/17 (114 million tonnes).

It is worth noting that due to favorable weather conditions in the Parana the start of the sowing campaign is planned for September 10, in the state of Mato Grosso on September 15. However, in case of weather changes, field work may begin first in Mato Grosso.
