According to the forecasts of meteorologists, sowing of soybeans in key production areas of Brazil (Mato Grosso, paraná, Mato Grosso do Sul) for the 2017/18 harvest may be delayed due to the shortage of soil moisture. Lack of rain is projected for the next 10 days in the States, which produce about 51% of the total crop Brazilian soybeans.

Optimum time of sowing of soybean in the States of Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul come 16 September, but rainfall will be insufficient to start the sowing campaign.

Some agricultural experts of Brazil reported that at the moment the reason for the unrest there. Last year's crop got started a little early optimal timing.

Others report that, according to historical records, in the last 10 days of September, rainfall has been traditionally low. The lack of soil moisture may persist until the onset of the rainy season (mid-October).
