By the end of October palm oil production in Malaysia may increase up to its maximum in the last 2 years, informs UkrAgroConsult.

The reason is the recovery average yields in the largest producing region in the East of Malaysia in Sabah. In September, production in Sabah has dropped by 2% for the month, but by the end of October is expected to increase by 14.2%, according to forecasts of the Malaysian Council on palm oil (MPOB).

MPOB estimates, the volume of exports by the end of October may increase by 2.35% for the month to 1.55 million tons. This volume will be the highest in the last 14 months and by 8.31% more than the same month in 2016. Publish the October data on production and exports is expected today, November 10.
