"In January 2018 to stations of the Novosibirsk region recorded the highest ever monthly volume of handled export of grain. In total were exported 46.6 thousand tons of grain in Novosibirsk farmers, which is 18 times more than in January last year. Previously the maximum rate of loading of grain for export was recorded in April 2012 and amounted to 23,7 thousand tons of grain", - is spoken in the message.

The press service of the ZSZHD said that the main directions of export of grain remain Egypt, Mongolia, Denmark and China. To speed up the delivery of goods to the port of Novorossiysk arranged the formation of the so-called fast track "grain Express". From the Novosibirsk region has sent 9 such trains, which run at an average speed of 750-800 km/day.

Earlier it was reported that the decision on subsidising of expenses of the company "Russian Railways" for the transportation of grain in the amount of 3 billion rubles, prepared by the Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation, came into force at the end of December 2017. The discount applies to the carriage of wheat, rye, oats, barley, corn, rice, buckwheat, beans, peas, beans and other crops. The reduction factor will apply until 30 June 2018.

Last year in the Novosibirsk region collected more than 3 million tons of grain. In the fall of 2017 farmers in the region encountered difficulties in the shipments of grain for export. The Russian President then drew attention to the necessity of subsidizing rail transport of grain, including from Siberia.
