The other day was the official launch of the Polish project on modernization of agriculture and food industry of Moldova, under which Poland will allocate a former Soviet Republic credit in the amount of 100 million euros for 25 years at 0.15% per annum, according to "Komsomolskaya Pravda Moldova"

The first payment under the contract will be five years.

The project will mean for farmers to get loans for up to 12 years with a minimum size of loan for purchase of equipment at half a million euros. Under the terms of the project, the loan should not be less than 60% spent on Polish equipment and services.

10 million euros of the total amount obtained in the framework of the project will be spent on infrastructure modernization of the processing industry.

The agreement on the loan was signed in may this year during a visit to Warsaw Moldovan Prime Minister Iurie Leanca. This agreement will contribute to the implementation of the provisions of the Association Agreement of the Republic of Moldova with the European Union. Recall, last year the European Union has supported Moldova in the "trade wars" with Russia. The European Commissioner for policy, enlargement and neighbourhood policy Stefan Fule stated about the readiness of the EU to increase quotas on imports of wine from Moldova to compensate for the country's losses from the Russian embargo.
