The Russian government is taking measures to support the development of livestock and control of agricultural animals in private households. The relevant decisions adopted by the meeting that Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev held on January 27. The list of regulations published on the official website of the Cabinet.

So, the Ministry of agriculture, Ministry of economic development and the Ministry of Finance in collaboration with industry unions need "to further study the issue for the extension of subsidies for investment loans concluded before 1 January 2013 and aimed at the development of meat cattle breeding, up to 15 years, with compensation at the expense of Federal budget expenditures on the payment of interest on loans".

To 25 February in the government expect proposals from the Ministry of economic development and the Ministry of agriculture on measures of customs-tariff and non-tariff regulation in order to stimulate domestic exports of livestock products.

"The Ministry of agriculture, Ministry of economic development, the Ministry of Finance and requested to prepare proposals for the regulation of the numbers and species of agricultural animals kept in private farms, and suggestions for empowering the Ministry of agriculture the authority for the development and approval of the veterinary rules for keeping of farm animals, including citizens, the leading private subsidiary farming", - is spoken in a different order, whose deadline is set to 26 March.

By this time, these agencies must submit to the Cabinet of Ministers initiative for the empowerment of the Rosselkhoznadzor powers for control over safe handling of pesticides and agrochemicals in agricultural production, as well as in the monitoring of products of plant origin, including export.

According to the document, the CPS is mandated to update the sanitary-epidemiological requirements to the organizations for the production of bread products, "including in terms of eliminating the requirement to return bread products with expired from the market the manufacturer.

By March 25, the Ministry of industry and trade, the Ministry of agriculture and FAS should analyze the situation on the market of mineral fertilizers and, if necessary, to submit proposals on improvement of the pricing mechanism in the domestic fertilizer for Russian agricultural producers.

In addition, the Cabinet forward proposals for the expansion and creation of new production facilities for slaughter and processing of livestock and poultry. At the same time the Ministry of agriculture and Ministry of industry and trade will coordinate work on projects for deep processing of grain.

Regional authorities are recommended to take measures to prevent the emergence and spread of African swine fever and other dangerous animal diseases.
