Citizens of Abkhazia will be able to get a loan for the implementation of agricultural projects, said the Minister of agriculture of the Republic of Rafik Otyrba. He noted that public funding of agricultural projects will contribute to the development of the industry, informs a portal "Satellite Abkhazia".

"We have developed small projects based on budget. If a farmer wants to sow one or two hectares, we will provide him financial assistance on a returnable basis. The loan amount will not exceed 200 thousand rubles", - said Otyrba.

He told that to return the money borrowers will be for three years. While, according to the Otyrba, lending involves risks for the borrower.

"For example, if the farmer sowed the ground, but the force majeure circumstances related to weather and climatic conditions did not allow him to implement the project, the Ministry will consider these cases separately, but it can only go on prolongation of terms of repayment of funds", - said the Minister.

Now the Ministry of agriculture is developing a mechanism for the return of loan funds.

"Financial assistance is not a grant is a loan that aims to support farmers. We carefully study the mechanisms of return of funds", - said Otyrba.

Agricultural projects eligible to receive financing, can be different in the field and livestock, and poultry husbandry, and farming, and fish farming.

According to the Minister, within the stipulated credit polosi will receive about 200 projects.
