This target is laid down in the regional government adopted the program "Development of production and processing of agricultural products in the Krasnoyarsk region on the 2017-2019 years."

Presenting the plan, first Deputy Minister of agriculture of the Krasnoyarsk territory Alexander Pogodin said:

"In crop production due to the introduction of new acreage and yield will increase grain production in the amount of 2306,5 thousand tons by 2019 (2.3% by 2015). The volume of production of potatoes in all categories of farms is projected to be about 1.2 million tonnes (100.7% compared to 2015). Construction of greenhouses with a total area of 45 thousand square meters, and measures of state support of vegetable production will allow to increase volumes of output of vegetables by 3.6%".

Under the program, the largest increase (31%) needs to show the meat industry. In 2019 it should give 123,5 thousand tons of output, compared to 94.3 thousand tons in 2015. Implementation of investment projects should allow to increase production of pork by almost 90% and of poultry by almost 50% (from 16.5 thousand tons in 2015, up to 24.6 million tons in 2019). Funding for the program at the expense of the regional budget will amount to 14.9 billion rubles.

Some benefit to the agriculture of the region has brought and economic sanctions: the local manufacturers have opened market niches previously occupied by Western suppliers. However, as explained by Eugene Edin, Krasnoyarsk producers switched to the production of dairy products highly processed: butter, cheese, dry milk products, reduced production volumes of dairy products.
