On Friday in Rostov-on-don hosted a meeting on the regulation of fishing in the Rostov and Volgograd region. It was conducted by Deputy Minister of agriculture of Russia, head of Rosrybolovstvo Ilya Shestakov.

According to Nachalovskoe, the fishing industry in the region is part of the don culture, which employs about 3 thousand people. "Last year commodity fish Rostov fishermen produced 22,1 thousand tons. We maintain a leading position in Russia", — he said.

As explained to RIA Novosti in the Ministry of agriculture of the region in 2016 in the region produced 20.5 thousand tons of marketable fish.

Shestakov, in turn, noted the importance of development of this sector in the region. He added that financial support should be directed, first and foremost, for recycling, or subsidies for fishermen. In addition, according to him, in the near future should resolve the issue of the renegotiation of contracts for the use of aquaculture sites on a 15-year term, which will enable fishermen long-term planning.
