According to the Union of sugar producers of Russia with 09.04.2018 plants finished the sugar beet harvest in 2017.

Since the beginning of the production season 2017/18. processed sugar beet 46 197,8 thousand tons (0.1% below the previous year's level), developed sugar 6 459.6 thousand tons (6.2 percent above last year's level).

According to the FCS of Russia imports of raw sugar in the current year (as of 10.06.2018) amounted to 2.2 thousand tons (against 2.5 million tons in the same period of 2017).

The volume of Russian imports of white sugar (according to the FCS of Russia) in January - April 2018 fell by 4.1% and 88.4 thousand tons (in January-April 2017 – 92,2 thousand tons).

The volume of Russian exports of white sugar (according to the FCS of Russia) in January-April 2018 increased by 8.2% and amounted to 181,8 thousand tons (in January-April 2017 – 168.1 thousand tons). The main consumers are countries of Uzbekistan, Belarus, Azerbaijan.

According to operational data of rail statistics, the exports of sugar in January - April 2018 increased by 10,0% and amounted to 187 thousand tons In the same period of 2017 were exported 170 thousand tons.

As 08.06.2018 wholesale price of sugar in the SFD for the week decreased by 2.0% (+32.1% in the current year) and made up 33.00 RUB./kg.

Industrial producer prices according to the CM PB for 14.06.2018 made up of sugar white beet 30,42 rbl./kg without VAT (of -0.3% for the week, +20,1% by December 2017).

Consumer price as 09.06.2018 was at the level of 40,84 RUB/kg for the week increased by 1.1% (+11.7 percent from the beginning of 2018). On the new York Mercantile exchange was observed the decrease of stock exchange quotations on sugar-a raw. As of June 14, 2018 quotes was at the level of $ 270. US/t (+0,2% over the week -16,1% by December 2017).
