Nizhny Novgorod farmers are going to the end of the year to implement about 20 projects of lean manufacturing. This was announced on Tuesday, the acting Governor of the region Gleb Nikitin, commenting on the results of the regional program "Effective state", which is now extended to agriculture.

"The plans of the pilot sites for 2018 to implement about 20 projects on the implementation of lean technologies," he said. We are talking about the reduction of losses in milk production, reducing the costs of fuel and other factors relevant to agriculture. In the first stage, as explained Nikitin, the project involves two companies, but their experience then will introduce other manufacturers.

"If the industry leading enterprises have long thought about how to make more efficient and production management, and employees, many agricultural businesses in Russia continue to operate the old fashioned way, increasing only at the expense of construction of new facilities," - said Nikitin. However, he believes it is important to create a Bank of best practices in agriculture in order to disseminate them across the region.

Now, said Nikitin, the experts of the project office of the regional government and Rosatom only analyzed initial condition and outlined what can be improved. About the program

In a press-service of the regional government TASS said that the Ministry of economic development of the Russian Federation recognized the Nizhny Novgorod region is the leader in increasing productivity among the regions - participants of the program "Improving labor productivity and employment support" from 2018 to 2025.

Also on behalf of the acting Governor in the region began implementation of a joint project of the regional government and Rosatom "Effective province". The program involves the implementation of lean technologies in industry, health, education, social protection and public administration.
