Manufacturers of fish products and provide the domestic market of the country 51.5%
In the first eight months of 2018, the production of fresh, chilled and frozen fish in Kazakhstan amounted to 17.5 thousand tons, which is 4.9% more than in the same period of 2017. The production of processed and canned fish, caviar and its substitutes fell by 0.4% to 7.6 tons. The bulk of production concentrated in the West Kazakhstan region (35.4 per cent), the Turkestan region (26.5 per cent) and East Kazakhstan oblast (7.6 per cent).
Fish producers of Kazakhstan to provide domestic market of the country is only 51.5%.
In 2017, the fisheries research Institute with the support of the science Fund of Kazakhstan developed a project for the commercialization of artificial rearing of pike-perch.
