During the meeting, the research staff of the Federal office for consumer protection and food safety Germany presented their latest scientific developments in the field of determination of residual quantities of veterinary drugs in food products. In particular, the scientists discussed the application in practice of the methods of detection in food of residues of the nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, beta-agonists, Anthelmintics.
The event participants paid special attention to the review of EU legislation in the field of determination of residues of medicinal products for veterinary use. The reports also provided the staff of the national veterinary laboratory of the Netherlands, the UK, Poland and other countries. The main purpose of all presentations was to share experience on organization and conducting studies on international comparison tests (ISI).
The practical part of the meeting included a demonstration of techniques for sample preparation used BVL EURL for detecting the residual quantities of koktsidiostatikov in animal products.
