According to statistics, the total value of imported Republic of wheat amounted to $91 million to 130.1 million (70%).

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 84,906 thousand tons of raw sugar and sugar (increase 4.9%) in the amount of $31 million 582,6 million (growth of 4%), vegetable oils – 27,158 thousand tons (a decline of 27.9%) in the amount of $20 million 446,9 thousand (decrease by 35.2%), tea – 2,699 thousand tons (a decline by 11.9%) in the amount of $9 million 986,2 thousand (decrease by 15.8%), butter, milk 2,649 thousand tons (a decline of 23.9%) $13 million 527,3 million (decline of 34.6%).

In addition, in January-March, Azerbaijan imported 2,184 thousand tons of meat of cattle (growth of 3.1%) in the amount of $6 million 640,1 million (an increase of 5.3%), poultry meat and products from it – 9,764 thousand tons (growth in 2 times) in the amount of $10 million 168,9 thousand (growth in 1,9 times).

Fruits in January-March 2019 to the Republic were imported 37,982 thousand tons (growth by 2.9%) in the amount of $35 million 651,4 million (growth by 26.3%), vegetables - 5,274 thousand tons (a decline of 19%) $2 million 959 thousand (decrease by 15.8%), potatoes – 66,826 thousand tons (an increase of 24.5%) to $17 million 326 thousand (an increase of 32.6%).

In January-March Azerbaijan exported 34,695 thousand tons of vegetables (increase by 38.9%) in the amount of $31 million 31 thousand (an increase of 12.6%), fruit – 61,81 thousand tons (growth by 25.7%) to $71 million 8.6 million (growth by 35.5 %).

In addition, from Azerbaijan in the reporting period the exported 6,107 thousand tons of sugar (decrease by 13.4%) in the amount of $2 million 768,5 thousand (decrease by 33.7%), vegetable oils – 1,194 thousand tons (a decline of 22.4%) in the amount of $1 million 178,7 million (a decline of 28.1%).

Also in January-March Azerbaijan exported 2,931 thousand tonnes of fruit and vegetable juice (37.8 per cent) in the amount of $3 million 334,2 thousand (growth on 26,9%), natural grape wines and grape must – 102,1 thousand decalitres (a decline of 14.2%) in the amount of $1 million 488,4 thousand (-0.8%), fruit and vegetable canned food – 1 of 139.7 thousand tons (a decline by 11.9%) in the amount of $1 million 757 thousand (decrease by 5.1%).
