The meeting on the current situation in the sphere of agricultural insurance, held the Deputy Minister Elena fastova July 18. It was attended by the heads of relevant departments of the Ministry of agriculture of Russia, representatives of NSA and the insurance companies-members of the Union and the leadership of more than 50 regional agricultural agencies of constituent entities of the Russian Federation.

"Several of the subjects of the Russian Federation requested additional funding for crop insurance. So, Samara region predicts additional demand in the subsidization of insurance of winter crops. Representatives of the ministries of agriculture of several of the subjects stated that the demand for insurance protection has exceeded earlier estimates agricultural agencies in part of the necessary funds for the subsidy is observed in Amur, Saratov oblast and other, – said the President of NSA. – On the part of the Ministry of agriculture has published information that additional funding will be considered, according to the budget procedures, in the period from October to November."

"In the near future NSA in conjunction with the Ministry of agriculture will evaluate additional financing requirements of agricultural insurance in specific regions", - said the President of NSA. He informed the meeting that in the course of preparations for the spring sowing NSA was in contact with the bodies of APK 20 subjects of the Russian Federation, which received requests for providing various information.

"According to NSA, the insured area of crops in the first half amounted to 2,093 million hectares, which is 9 times higher than the same period last year, - said the President of the NRA of the Roots of biggov. Is a direct result of measures taken by the Ministry of agriculture and legislators, thanks to which improves the flexibility of the system of agricultural insurance and put additional incentives for the insured farmers".

At the same time, the NSA expressed at the meeting concern the structure of concluded contracts in some regions. "After this year, farmers were given the opportunity to self-select the risks to protection under the contract of agricultural insurance with state support, in some regions there is a clear trend of less significant risks, – said the President of the NRA of the Roots of biggov. For example, in one of the regions of the Chernozem zone, the farmers EN masse have eliminated the risk of drought. If they eventually suffer losses because of drought, these losses covered by insurance will not be".

According to NSA, in the long term to eliminate is indicated at the meeting the problem will be possible if agricultural insurance is included in the complex of risk management measures APK each region. This will allow to identify the main risks for main groups of farmers and the required parameters of insurance. "Currently, the NSA is developing specific proposals for directions of agricultural insurance in integrated risk management APK that may be used in the framework of the state Program of development of agriculture" – said the Roots of biggov.
