Argentine soy to keep up to rising prices
Argentine farmers are holding back the implementation of soybeans in anticipation of rising prices
Подписаться на новости

Harvesting soybeans in Argentina is almost completed and currently, the gross harvest of oilseeds is estimated at 57 million tons, only slightly above last year's result, according to The Soybean & Corn Adviser.

However, despite the fact that a large part of the soybean of a new crop already arrived to the elevators, local farmers continue to hamper the implementation of oil, waiting for higher prices in the domestic market, which, according to the expectations of the producers, will start in January 2018, when it will come into force a law on monthly reducing export duties on oilseeds 0.5%.

Given these expectations, the Argentine farmers intend to minimize sales of soybeans, hoping to receive the necessary working capital from the sale of corn and wheat.
